Welcome to my blog!
I am so excited to be publishing my first blog as an author, and I have big news to share: my first novel, “A trip towards the sunset”, will be published on 20 March. Almost there!
It will be published in three different versions:
- Paperback for New Zealand readers, via the Copy Press
- Paperback for readers outside New Zealand, via IngramSpark
- E-book via amazon
Once I have all the links, I will share them on my website, so if you are interested in purchasing my book, keep an eye on those links.
Last December I received my first physical books at home. It was such a special moment for me, when you can physically touch your creation. I just couldn’t believe it! And I am so grateful for the amazing support I have had. The finish was so well done by the team at The Copy Press.
I am now in the middle of the marketing process, where my publicist is approaching the media, magazines, etc. to seek interest and get book reviews and interviews. There seems to be a lot of interest already, which makes me so happy. I do hope that especially women in their midlives find the story interesting and connect with the main characters, Cora, Irene and Sofia. They have been created with deep care and a loving heart, and I feel deeply connected with the three of them. From Cora, a single mum living in New Zealand and trying to find her way towards self-fulfilment. Or Sofia, Cora’s little sister living in Spain, whose life is grey and unsubstantial, and she can’t find her way to the light. Or Irene in Germany, whose daughters have gone to University and has a deep empty nest feeling. I hope the story will resonate with many readers.
I have a book launch on Thursday 20 March at the wonderful Schrodinger’s Books (137 Jackson Street, Petone, Lower Hutt, https://www.schrodingersbooks.co.nz/) so if you live nearby and would like to come along, feel free to do so. There will be drinks and nibbles, you can chat with me, purchase the book on the release date and get it signed by me. I look forward to seeing many of you there!
